Der Naturgartentest<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Von den Vereinsmitgliedern wurde in der Vergangenheit immer wieder der Wunsch ge\u00e4u\u00dfert, dass neben der bereits bestehenden Pr\u00fcfung von gewerblichen Betrieben, auch private G\u00e4rten eine M\u00f6glichkeit haben sollten, ausgezeichnet zu werden. So gr\u00fcndete sich auf der Mitgliederversammlung 2018 der \u201eArbeitskreis Naturgartenpr\u00e4mierung\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Jahr 2019 hat der Arbeitskreis bereits erfolgreich die ersten Naturgartentesterinnen und \u2013tester ausgebildet, sowie eine Bewertungsmatrix f\u00fcr Naturg\u00e4rten entwickelt. Hinzu kommt ein \u201eNaturgartenhandbuch\u201c mit wichtigen Begriffen des Naturgartenbaus, aber auch das \u201eHandbuch der invasiven Neophyten\u201c<\/a>, das alle in Deutschland als invasiv oder potentiell invasiv eingestuften Neophyten beschreibt. Dass invasive Neophyten in Naturg\u00e4rten ein Problem darstellen, ist uns erst bei der Entwicklung des Naturgartentests klar geworden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In naturnahen G\u00e4rten ist Selbstaussaat erw\u00fcnscht und wird gef\u00f6rdert und Ver\u00e4nderungen im Artenbestand werden ebenfalls toleriert, so lange sie nicht die Sch\u00f6nheit oder die N\u00fctzlichkeit des Gartens beeintr\u00e4chtigen. Manchmal hat die Natur ja sehr spannende Ideen und Naturg\u00e4rtnerinnen und Naturg\u00e4rtner lieben solche \u00dcberraschungen. Da wird leicht die eine oder andere invasive Art \u00fcbersehen, wenn sie nicht erkannt werden kann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seit dem Sommer 2020 ist es endlich soweit und alle liebevoll, strukturreichen und\/oder verwunschenen Privatg\u00e4rten, aber auch andere Gr\u00fcnfl\u00e4chen k\u00f6nnen sich bewerben. Die Gartenbegehung wird durch zwei gepr\u00fcfte Tester*innen durchgef\u00fchrt und\u00a0der Garten wird mit Hilfe einer komplexen Matrix bewertet. G\u00e4rten, welche dabei unsere Mindestanforderungen erf\u00fcllen, erhalten eine Bronze-Pr\u00e4mierung. \u00dcber weitere Kriterien kann eine Silber- oder Gold-Auszeichnung erreicht werden. Im Anschluss erh\u00e4lt der pr\u00e4mierte Garten sowohl eine Urkunde, als auch eine ansprechende Plakette. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unsere Erfahrungen haben gezeigt, dass es viele G\u00e4rtner*innen gibt, die zwar einen sch\u00f6nen Garten haben, die sich aber nicht von einem biodiversit\u00e4tssch\u00e4digenden Element trennen wollen. Deshalb gibt es jetzt eine Einsteigerpr\u00e4mierung \u201eAuf dem Weg zum Naturgarten\u201c. Sie kann verliehen werden, wenn die Punktzahl der Stufe \u201eSilber\u201c erreicht wird, aber bis zu zwei invasive Arten vorhanden sind, oder ein Element mit kesseldruckimpr\u00e4gniertem Holz, oder ein Material aus \u00dcbersee bzw. Raubbau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durch eine Kooperation mit dem Wissenschaftsladen Bonn<\/a> gewinnt die Pr\u00e4mierung an zus\u00e4tzlicher Professionalit\u00e4t. Wir freuen uns sehr, durch das  Netzwerk Tausende G\u00e4rten, Tausende Arten<\/a> mehr Menschen erreichen zu k\u00f6nnen und auf diese Weise noch mehr f\u00fcr den gelebten Arten- und Naturschutz zu tun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
